Their expertise in structural engineering has been demonstrated in a broad scope of projects, to include detailed structural engineering, construction inspection & supervision, assessment & investigation of defects, deterioration, duress & collapse and building envelope investigations & remediation.
Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic team to work directly with architects, project managers, government, industry and corporate/individual owners to suit their client’s unique and specific needs.
Job Duties:
Lead structural engineering team to ensure effective and successful delivery
Plan and identify structural engineering resources
Coordinate and manage the execution of activities and report progress
Provide leadership and resolution on technical issues with the structural discipline
Participate in the preparation of specifications, structural analysis and design, calculations, bill of materials, as well as coordinate with all project team members (interdisciplinary)
Participate in the review consultant designs
Liaise with internal pre-construction teams as required
Provide construction support, including preparation of Field Instructions, change orders and response to RFIs
Conduct site inspections (interim and final)

Job Qualifications:
Recognized degree in Structural Engineering required
Minimum 8 years of related experience
Registered as a Professional Engineer in good standing in the Province of MB, registration in other provinces is an asset.
Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency to prioritize, multi-task, organize work, and meet deadlines.
Must be detail oriented, analytical, a problem solver and a critical creative thinker
Ability to work independently and perform at a high level of accuracy
Capacity to be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail
