Our client is looking for a Land Development Designer or Engineer to join their team! This individual will be responsible for the detailed design, approvals and construction of a variety of Land Development related projects. There are opportunities for consulting engineering clients in both Toronto and Ottawa. The ideal candidate would have to possess a thirst for learning and undertake best practices for design projects consisting of residential and commercial development and site plans.
Job Duties:
Complete design calculations based on engineering principles, meeting applicable regulatory codes and standards, and convey design for drafting completion
Responsible for reviewing and sealing the design
Perform engineering design and analysis
Evaluate project information to identify possible design solutions, coordinate and communicate with the Project Manager, clients and consultants to ensure design will work within the overall scope of the project
Technical report preparation
Attend and participate in project team meetings and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of project deliverables
Other related duties, as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited academic institution
CET, P.Eng, or EIT designation
3+ years of experience
Strong technical skills in Land Development and Civil Engineering
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Civil3D
Ability to maintain relationships with approval and client staff
Successful track record of delivering projects such as residential subdivisions, commercial site plans, road design and reconstruction, sewer, water and other linear infrastructure projects are mandatory.
