Our client seeks an ITB (Industrial and Technological Benefits) Policy Advisor to support the ITB Manager with all areas of process including strategy development, managing corporate approvals, preparation of internal and external paperwork, internal engagement across all lines of business, and negotiation with external customer offset authorities.
Job Duties:
Support the ITB Manager with the preparation, implementation and maintenance of the management and offset plans, subsidiary plans and deliverables
Report to and support the ITB Manager with the management of all aspects of systems’ ITB and offset process and comply with contractual requirements
Translate ITB objectives into action plans and ensure all ITB commitments are achieved
Support the generation and provision of internal management briefings on ITB status and help to generate external ITB reports
Support the ITB Manager to develop sources of ITB credits (direct or indirect) through discussions with government agencies, key suppliers, defense & marine industry associations and Canadian industry
Support the ITB Manager with all ITB communications with customers, Innovation, Science and Economic Development (ISED), Regional Development Agencies (RDA’s) and Canadian Industry
Coordinate with central systems procurement to establish if any business units have work in Canada that will generate ITB credits and comply with group offset trading process
Support the ITB manager in obtaining any corporate approvals from group legal and compliance function
Ensure that all ITB activities are undertaken in accordance with Code of Conduct, have clear ownership and executive oversight and are consistent with the customer’s ITB policy proportionate to the value of related contracts
Qualifications:
Professional qualification or 5 years’ experience in a business role
thorough understanding and experience of the Canadian Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) policy
Suitable candidate to be a self- motivated and focused individual
Shall be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
Ability to work collaboratively with other functional representatives to meet operational needs
Able to build h2 relationships with customers and suppliers (internal and external)
Ability to articulate and present complex issues in a succinct and clear manner
