Engineering Product Manager

London, ON

Our client in South-Western Ontario is looking for an Engineering Product Manager to join their team!

This individual will:


•    Obtain and secure product approvals at all levels of government, specification associations (CSA, BNQ) and regulatory bodies
•    Represent the company on various boards, committees and advisory panels
•    Providing guidance and input regarding codes and specifications
•    Provide support to the sales and inside customer services team

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


•    Seek and obtain specifications and approvals from all government levels and agencies
•    Provide technical support to sales, engineering and office staff
•    Develop and implement key engineering strategies for sales growth in Ontario.
•    Participate in sales calls as required to either present or provide support to the sales team
•    Participate in technical meetings representing the company within the industry
•    Complete detailed, technical reports as required, submit monthly report
•    Maintain and build job skills through company supported training programs
•    Attend industry technical meetings across the territory
•    Maintain product knowledge
•    Ensure the company’s products are specified through lunch-n-learns, presentations and seminars
•    Call on engineers, consultants and agencies in the promotion of company products
•    Travel throughout the territory as required, with overnight stays as required
•    Participate in trade shows and other events that promote company products and applications
•    Develop and maintain information portfolios
•    Cultivate and maintain strong personal, professional, and customer relationships
•    Assist in growing customer business

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 
•    Licensed professional Civil/Structural Engineer in good standing in Ontario
•    5-10+ years of industry experience or work related experience
•    Excellent communication skills, oral and written
•    Knowledge of related codes and specifications
•    Strong analytical and problem solving skills
•    Excellent time management skills,
•    Bilingual (French/English) both oral and written requirements, an asset
•    Advanced math and computer skills
•    Strong report writing capabilities
•    Self-starter demonstrating the ability to work independently and in team environments
•    Strong customer service skills
•    Please note: this position will require extensive travel throughout the territory
