National Practice Leader - Environmental Remediation

Vancouver, BC | Calgary, AB | Toronto, ON

Our client is looking for a National Practice Leader specializing in Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation to join their team in one of their Canadian offices!

Preferably, this individual will have experience in Western-Canada and will be in either their Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB; Edmonton, AB; or Winnipeg, MB offices, but this individual could also, be situated in their Toronto, ON; or Montreal; QC offices.

This individual will:

•    Implement continuous improvement and maintenance of quality of work
•    Support local market needs and initiatives
•    Be a leader in responding to changes in the industry and client expectations
•    Coordinate the response to new emerging issues
•    Assist smaller offices to stay competitive and current

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•    Review Practice Line Financial and Business Performance
•    Represent the company’s practice area expertise in developing new business and services
•    Technical training and mentoring within the Practice
•    Share expertise with others on the team and in the company
•    Develop and maintain templates, SOPs, and other Practice resources
•    Catalogue knowledge and technical documents and maintain them within the company network
•    Perform regular visits to operating groups in all offices offering EDR services
•    Audit completed projects
•    Contribute to the development of new business materials and presentations related to the Practice
•    Attend relevant conferences, network with industry leaders, and seek out appropriate speaking opportunities
•    Identify opportunities to publicize the company’s practice area expertise
•    Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Practice Leadership, CTO or CEO

Required Skills and Qualifications:

•    Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in Environmental Engineering from an accredited institution
•    10-15+ years of experience in a related role
•    CET or CCEP certified; a P.Eng or P.Geo designation will be considered an asset
•    Experience within the consulting industry
•    Experience with training and mentoring junior staff
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
