Fire Protection Technologist

Stratford, Ontario

Our client in Stratford, Ontario is looking for a Fire Protection Technologist to join their team!


Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Review of buildings, existing fire protection systems/equipment, preparation of reports, client consultation and project management
• Design of fire alarm and voice communication systems, security and access control systems and fire suppression systems
• Development and documentation of code compliance alternative solution bases
• Building and fire code consulting, evaluation of existing fire protection systems, life safety surveys / studies, application and evaluation of fire protection systems


Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Fire Protection Engineering or Engineering Technology Diploma from an accredited college or university
• Ability to work and conduct field inspections independently
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk suite of software (Revit, etc)
• Must have sound knowledge of building/fire/life safety codes
• Broad knowledge of building construction methods and techniques
• Experience dealing with contractors, architects and engineers
• Experience in the Nuclear or Energy Sectors an asset
• Technically oriented; good analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
