Business Centre Managing Leader - Buildings

Our client in Toronto, Ontario is looking for a Business Centre Managing Leader for their Buildings group!


Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Lead an established group of over 300 technical and administrative professionals throughout the Greater Toronto Area
• Complete a variety of projects, including: airports, commercial, civic, educational, healthcare, justice, and industrial
• Work with public and private sector clients
• Drive critical business processes, and expand growth of the group
• Work in a collaborative shared leadership structure, and be collectively responsible for the operational, financial, and technical excellence of the group
• Achieve operational, financial, marketing, and business development objectives
• Achieve the architectural, buildings engineering, and project management quality and delivery objectives
• Build a strong design quality and team work culture
• Coach, mentor, and develop future leaders
• Represent the company within the local and provincial regions
• Respond to the unique challenges of alternative delivery projects
• Elevate the risk management culture
• Foster cross business collaboration


Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• 10+ years of professional experience
• 10+ years of senior management experience
• Thorough understanding of the business operations and financial aspects of the architecture, buildings engineering, and project management profession
• Previously demonstrated strong leadership, business acumen, communications, and people skills
• Previous experience in the management of large professional teams, preferably in an integrated design environment
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Well-developed skill sin the preparation of correspondence and proposals
• Experience using P3 delivery model and Alternative Project Delivery methods
• Ability to clearly articulate their vision for the group, and create a high level of engagement with staff
• Possess the personality, experience, and ability to effectively lead, challenge, and inspire the leadership group and staff to work together cohesively as a team
