National Practice Leader - Building Science

Mississauga, ON

Our client in Mississauga/Toronto, Ontario is looking for a National Practice Leader for their Building Science division.

This individual will be responsible for:

•    Continuous improvement and maintenance of quality of Building Science services
•    Supporting regional market needs and initiatives
•    Lead company responses to changes in the industry, emerging issues, and client expectations, and ensure Building Science operations remain current and competitive

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Overall Service Delivery and Quality of Work
•    Lead a team of Regional Practice Leaders in all offices
•    Review Practice Line Financial and Business Performance
•    Represent the company’s practice area expertise in developing new business and services.
•    Technical training and mentoring
•    Share expertise with others on the team and in the company
•    Develop and maintain templates, SOPs and other practice resources
•    Work closely with the practice representatives from the other groups within the company
•    Catalogue knowledge and technical documents and maintain them
•    Perform regular visits to operating groups in all offices offering Building Science services
•    Audit completed projects
•    Contribute to the development of new business materials and presentations related to the practice
•    Attend relevant conferences, networks with industry leaders, and seek appropriate speaking opportunities
•    Develop ways for the company to share its knowledge with current and prospective clients, such as company-sponsored seminars, white papers, blogs, etc.
•    Identify opportunities to publicize the company’s practice area expertise
•    Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Practice Leadership, CTO or CEO

Required Skills and Qualifications:

•    Engineering Degree in a Building Science related field from an accredited institution
•    10-15+ years of experience providing Building Science services
•    P.Eng designation with a focus on Building Science. (CET or other credentials may also be acceptable depending on experience)
•    An experienced manager of diverse technical staff over a large geographical area
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
