Senior Electrical Engineer

This individual MUST have experience in Military projects

Our client in Lynnwood (Seattle), Washington is looking for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Building Systems to join their team as a Project Manager!

This individual will be involved in projects such as educational, institutional, and commercial buildings with a focus on military-related projects.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Apply electrical engineering principals and superior client service skills to cultivate and deliver projects that exceed expectations
• Provide expert leadership in project management and relationship skills, leading integrated design teams and their interactions with clients
• Apply technical and project management expertise while leading cross-functional resources to meet project requirements within established timeframes and budgets
• Serve as a trainer, mentor and resource to others
• Hold project team members accountable for deliverables
• Nurture existing client relationships and proactively pursues opportunities for new business
• Provide client consultation; drawing on professional expertise and knowledge of company services
• Develop and deliver client presentations
• Maintain current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthen skills
• Demonstrate a "client first" approach in developing key relationships
• Evaluates opportunities and challenges and incorporates well-developed consulting and technical skills into each client interaction

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of experience
• PE registration is required
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification will be considered an asset
• Successful history of collaboration and teaming with electrical contractors on Design-Build projects
• Familiarity with OSHPD will be considered an asset
• Construction industry experience and/or in-depth knowledge of construction processes
• Previous implementation of project management principles
• Ability to manage clients, projects, fees and teams to achieve budget, schedule and deliverable objectives
• Ability to integrate design elements with other disciplines
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards
• Deep understanding and knowledge of power distribution systems, lighting systems, and low voltage systems for the built environment
• Strong knowledge of healthcare, higher education or military communities including architects, engineers, contractors, and facilities
• Ability to apply sustainable design principles within projects
• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills
• Functional knowledge of recent versions of AutoCAD; in particular, AutoCAD MEP and Revit MEP
• Travel is required to meet engagement/client requirements - may include regional, national or international based on the contracted requirements
• Due to the nature of the work, the individual must be a US citizen

Working Conditions:
• Regularly required to use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms
• Will frequently be required to sit, talk and hear
• Will frequently be required to visit and navigate existing facilities and construction sites, which often requires the ability to walk and climb
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• The staff member must occasionally operate a motor vehicle
