Client Project Manager Land Development

Markham, ON

Our client in Markham, Ontario is looking for a Client Project Manager to join their team! This individual MUST HAVE experience with Land Development as it pertains to Subdivisions. This individual will navigate through the design review and approvals process (initial investigations through to approval design approval) in order to achieve the timely approval of a variety of projects. Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Under the direction of the Manager of DA, the Client Project Manager become a key player in developing and strengthening relationships with clients • Implement new training initiatives • Lead contact with client, municipality, approval agencies, sub-consultants, and other professionals • Prepare design reports (FSR, MESP, due diligence, etc.) • Co-ordinate with other project professionals (SWM, OLS, noise, environment, fluvial, geo-tech, etc.) Coordinate with Team Leaders in Central Design and CA Client Managers • Co-ordinate with accounting department on extra work, descriptions, etc. assess priorities in consultation with D. A. Manager • Supervise and motivate, train and develop direct reports (Project Manager and Project Coordinator) • Direct the gathering of project specific design information (reports, drawings, etc.) • Direct the coordination of all design submissions • Prepare critical path analysis • Responsible for meeting project schedule • Responsible for monthly invoice report for assigned jobs • Complete individual performance assessments for Project Managers and Coordinators (in consultation with Manager of DA) • Identify extra work provide proposal with description and coordinate with CD Team Leader and accounting department Required Skills and Qualifications will include: • University Degree from an accredited institution in Civil Engineering • 5-10+ years of experience with subdivision design • 2+ years of Project Manager experience • P.Eng Designation • Experience specializing in project management with knowledge of subdivision design • Knowledgeable in design of storm sewer, sanitary sewers, watermains, roads, lot grading, earthworks and stormwater management trained in project management and schedule control • Strong customer service and communication skills • Ability to travel occasionally to client / municipality for project related meetings • Must have a car and valid driver’s license Our client has over twenty years of presence within the GTA Land Development marketplace; their strong reputation is due to their commitment to hiring and investing in bright, dynamic young professionals and developing them into leaders.
