Mechanical Designer - Building Systems

Our client in London, Ontario is looking for a Mechanical Designer to join their team! This individual will have 5-10 years of experience with mechanical building systems. This individual will prepare mechanical design documents in AutoCAD and Revit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ******* YOU MUST BE EXPERIENCED WITH MECHANICAL BUILDING SYSTEMS TO APPLY******* ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE QUALIFIED – PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU APPLY ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Designing air and water HVAC systems • Designing plumbing systems • Preparing designs for all types of buildings including commercial, institutional, and residential • Providing design guidance to junior staff and supervising delegated tasks • Interfacing with clients, contractors and sales reps • Coordinating with other disciplines • Conducting site visits/field reviews and assisting with contract administration. • Assisting Project Managers on the preparation of proposals • Monitoring project progress and reporting to the PM Required Qualifications and Skills will include: • College degree in architectural technology or related program • 5-10 years of design experience in the HVAC, Building Systems field • Pro-active approach to tasks – displays initiative • Ability to multi-task and be organized, especially under the stress of deadlines • Demonstrate a strong desire for professional development • Proven leadership and ability to work within a team Our client, based out of London, Ontario, is an extremely well known and respected company which is just under a decade old, officially. They are looking for a bright, young C.E.T. or Electrical P.Eng who is capable of effectively organizing, delegating, interfacing with clients and leading a team as well as designing and preparing AutoCAD drawings, project documentations, and site reviews in an efficient and timely manner. The ideal candidate must be well-rounded in terms of skill set- technical as well as people skills- and driven to succeed, recognizing and utilizing growth and improvement opportunities when presented with them. This is not a position that is appropriate for someone who is looking to remain stagnant.
