Project Manager – Pipeline Integrity

Our client in Calgary is looking for a Project Manager – Pipeline Integrity to join their team! Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Scope, plan and estimate costs for desktop integrity assessments • Write proposals • Develop technical work plans • Accountable for meeting project scope, schedule and cost • Manage project progress and costs; issue change orders before exceeding budgets • Provide technical requirements and constraints for projects • Assign peer reviewers to check calculations • Accountable for meeting Quality System requirements • Responsible for achieving Safety objectives • Identify project delivery improvements (e.g. procedure development) • Uphold client standards and expectations • Manage client records • Provide technical input to integrity and engineering designs • Evaluate suitability of project technical design basis • Establish and maintain standards for content • Review and approve reports • Leverage technical resources from other divisions • Keep current on developments and best practices in industry, regulations and codes • Identify opportunities for technical betterment • Strengthen technical knowledge • Provide coaching and oversight to junior personnel • Foster peer interaction and shared learnings among team members • Identify training requirements • Assist with annual performance reviews • Establish and maintain positive client relationships • Liaise with clients to identify opportunities for adding value • Develop and maintain strategies and standards for client service • Participate in monthly integrity meetings and chair, when required • Assist in growth of Integrity division • Develop growth opportunities in other integrity-related areas Required Skills and Qualifications include: • Engineering Degree • Professional Engineering designation, preferably with APEGA • 8+ years of experience related to pipeline and facility integrity within the Canadian oil and gas industry • Experienced with Canadian and US standards, practices and applicable legislation • Competency in two or more of the following: IMPs, engineering assessments, defect assessment (corrosion/cracking), inspection planning, cathodic protection, hydraulics, stress analysis and piping design • Demonstrated project management background pertaining to client account management (high volume of small projects) • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are essential • Demonstrated process improvement skills • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility and adaptability Founded in the mid-1950's, our Client has since grown into an extremely well-known and highly reputable multidisciplinary company that is recognized as a Top 50 Global Design firm.
