Finance/Accounting Manager

Duties and Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to: • Support multiple business units with financial expertise • Implement and monitor financial and operational controls • Prepare budgets and forecasts • Prepare reporting packages • Report to the General Manager, CEO, and Controller in multiple offices and multiple sites • Manage the accounting team • Coordinate the costing/purchasing requirements of the business • Ensure compliance with all financial policies and operating procedures • Lead the development and implementation of new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software • Perform complex and extensive business analysis, define project business requirements, prepare functional process charts, design and plan business procedures and applications, participate in quality testing process, train end users, lead group training sessions, participate in project activities, and facilitate growth plans • Help build a financial team for a new heavy industrial processing plant Requirements will include: • 8-10+ years of experience • Educational background in Business or Accounting • Professional designation: CGA (Certified General Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) • Experience in heavy industrial processing, petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas, food/beverage processing, or manufacturing sectors • Experience with the start-up of a new facilities • Experience in building an ERP from start to finish (building the system, general ledgers, procedures and policies) • Must be self-driven with high levels of ambition and leadership skills • Experience with Simply Accounting • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Nav • High levels of experience in report building, writing, processing, and presenting • Experience building a financial team in a new facility • Strong planning, organizational and time-management skills • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills • Superior analytical and problem solving skills Our client has won multiple awards for their commitment to sustainability and environmental initiatives.
