Senior Hydrotechnical/Water Resources Engineer

Our client in the Engineering Consulting industry specializing in Environmental Services in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a Senior Hydrotechnical/Water Resources Engineer to join their Surface Water Team. If you want to work for one of Alberta’s Top 60 Employers of 2013, please consider the following position: Job Duties and Responsibilities including, but not limited to: -Work on the hydrotechnical components of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) projects -Organize and manage field crews -Assess and write hydrology components of EIAs -Assist staff Hydrologists and Engineers on other water related projects -Data analysis, data reduction, data processing, regulatory application, and report writing -Use managerial skills to organize and manage field teams -Field Activities: flow metering, installation and maintenance of hydrometric and climate stations, surveying, and environmental monitoring. Job Qualifications and Requirements: -University Degree in Water Resources or Environmental Sciences or Engineering -5+ years of experience with EIAs -Exceptional written and verbal skills -Class 5 driver’s license -Field experience will be considered and asset -Ability to travel to remote areas -Managerial skills: direct field work and organize field crews Client Information: Our client is a mid-sized firm that focuses on employee participation through share-ownership programs, profit sharing, employee RSP contributions, and educational funds.
