Our client in Toronto, Ontario is looking for a Marketing Team Lead with strong experience in the Buildings Sector with an Architectural or Engineering Consulting Firm.

This individual will:
• Help establish our client’s market position within the targeted sector
• Develop strong and lasting relationships with key clients
• Identify market opportunities
• Create winning proposal submissions/presentations in the pursuit of specific project opportunities

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Marketing Team Leadership:
o Assist in recruiting, motivating, and providing ongoing leadership, and coaching to a team of marketing professionals within the region who work directly with leadership and practitioners to implement and achieve the goals of the annual business plan.
o Manage team workload.

• Strategic Pursuits:
o Support top regional buildings strategic pursuits, driving strategy – managing and leading the development of response with regional resources.
o Monthly review of regional buildings strategic pursuits status – verify all active pursuits are updated with project details, key pursuit team members, revenue, background, and proposal materials.

• Account Management:
o Work with Account Manager’s (AMs) to identify and develop AM plans during planning cycle.
o Conduct regular frequency calls with regional AMs to measure progress against target/budget.
o Develop Proposals
o Content generation: develop and maintain content/narrative on frequently asked questions and current industry/regional trends to inform response development.
o Share trends/content with regional/sector teams to support BOU-wide excellence.
o Leading the ongoing development efforts of key qualification materials – including but not limited to, project descriptions, resumes, client testimonials.
o Mentor and support buildings regional team leads in the development of content and comprehensive proposals, presentations.
o Leverage company’s network of experts across the company to leverage value proposition

• Deliver Market Insight (Market Research/Business Planning):
o Work with market research team to develop buildings focused market research in advance of annual business planning.
o Conduct regular market scans monthly to stay abreast of market trends and insights and share with leadership and marketing teams.
o Understanding the competitive landscape and providing leadership with recommendations to influence overall market position strategy.

• Content Marketing:
o Participate and support Buildings CM strategy, leading regional multi-sector contributions for:
o Content calendar.
o Monthly Review of content marketing strategies and campaigns.
o Research industry themes and trends for topic generation.
o Assist leadership with the generation of content.

• Company Website:
o Develop and implement strategy to build brand awareness through a coordinated program focused on thought leadership, design excellence and creativity.
o Identify priority projects and thought leaders on an annual basis and develop robust plan to promote through:
- Key high profile and/or industry events in GTA.
- Traditional and social media.
- Industry awards.
- Conferences tradeshows.
- White papers.

• Communication – Internal and External
o Create key project wins/milestone news releases with regional PR and regional marketing staff.
o Identify blogging opportunities and assist in generation of blogs – internal / external – related to current projects / themes or trends in industry.
o Work with leadership to develop digital campaigns or e-cards which can be shared with clients and build brand awareness.
o Act as ambassador on social media sites. Work with PR team to encourage thought leaders and employees to participate in social media promotion.
o Internal communication including but not limited to in-house expert profiling, lunch and learns, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Post-Secondary education from an accredited institution in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or an equivalent level of experience.
• 15-20 years of progressive experience in a senior marketing role in a medium to large sized Architecture firm.
• Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills.
• Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities.
• Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge in the use of desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills in small or large group environments.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a group with 'team spirit' as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision.
