Our client is looking for a Project Technologist specialising in Building Science Sustainability and Property Condition Assessments (PCA’s) to join their team in their Richmond, British Columbia office!

This individual must have sound knowledge and understanding of buildings, including structures, roof systems, wall systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Property Condition Assessments
• Investigations of the following components
o Roof systems
o Wall Systems
o Balcony systems
o Structure
o Underground parking garages
o Mechanical/electrical systems
• Replacement reserve analyses
• Reporting

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture or diploma in Architectural/Civil Technology from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience
• Commercial Building Inspector experience is an asset
• Experience conducting property condition assessments in accordance with the ASTM Standard E 2018-15 "Standard Guide for Property Condition Assessments" will be considered a definite asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Additional experience completing Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments would be an asset
• Possess a valid driver’s license, insurance personal vehicle (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
• All technical staff will require a car, valid driver’s license, and insurance as travel around the designated region is occasionally required.
• There are times when security clearance is required in order to gain access to a job site so a Criminal Background Check will be conducted.
