Our client in Northern Ontario is looking for an Intermediate level Landfill Engineer/Hydrogeologist specializing in environmental due diligence and remediation to join their team in either Sudbury or Sault Ste. Marie!

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Oversee subsurface field investigations and hydrogeological studies
• Coordinate site supervision of subcontractors
• Oversee the collection of hydrogeological data, including soil and groundwater samples
• Provide senior review of hydrogeological, landfill and Phase II ESA reports
• Develop technical solutions using applicable scientific methods
• Prepare annual monitoring reports of findings and recommendations
• Oversee consulting projects and contract preparation
• Have responsibility for the financial aspects of assigned projects
• Participate in business development efforts with both new and existing clients
• Mentor and train staff providing technical guidance for their work

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Degree in Science with Hydrogeology option, or Engineering with Civil or Environmental option from an accredited institutiton.
• Master of Science or Engineering preferred
• 5-10+ years of consulting experience in Contaminant Hydrogeology or Landfill / Environmental Engineering
• Experience in aquifer characteristic evaluation and application of Guideline B-7 Reasonable Use Concept
• Experience in waste management planning, O.Reg. 232, landfill design, operational plans, leachate migration and contingency plans, etc.
• P.Geo. or P.Eng (Ontario) designation preferred but not required
• Experience in the review and preparation of work in support of filing Records of Site Condition in accordance with O.Reg. 153/04
• Preference given to those candidates with experience in modelling contaminant fate and transport
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
