Our client in Toronto, Ontario is looking for a Mechanical Contract Administrator / Construction Administrator to join their team!

This individual will assist in the administration of construction projects as they relate to Mechanical Building Systems.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Schedule Outlook appointments for site visits, Job Close Review meetings, and job close deadlines inviting all required parties
• Download, organize, and distribute specifications and drawings
• Track revisions and/or addenda and advise estimators
• Assist estimators with the review of drawings and project specifications to identify the scope, threats, and opportunities
• Assist estimators with the solicitation of supplier and subcontractor quotations for material, equipment, and services
• Assist estimator with contract administration
• Attend internal Estimate Review and Job Close meetings
• Submit and track tenders through to award
• Create and maintain new project job files
• Assist project managers with review of contract documents identifying important clauses, chain of communication, and change management process
• Compile and submit required documentation during award phase of project
• Assist project managers with project procurement
• Prepare Project Turnover Package
• Develop initial project schedule and update throughout the duration of the project based on input from the project manager and foreman
• Attend and document project meetings (Progress, Kick Finish, and Post Job Review)
• Create and track project documentation (submittal, RFI, CCN, CD, CO, and PCN)
• Assist with the close out of projects including final billing, deficiency identification and resolution and subcontractor organization
• Edit as-built drawings and create project O M manuals

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Completion of Engineering Technology or Trades diploma
• 2+ years of experience in administration of building construction projects
• Understanding of building mechanical systems
• Thorough understanding of drawings and technical specifications
• Understanding of a variety of contract documents
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Project, and, Outlook)
• Basic accounting competency with an understanding of billing procedures
• Highly analytical, detail oriented, and extremely organized
