Our client in Toronto, Ontario is looking for both an Intermediate and Senior Project Manager of Building Envelope Restoration to join their team!

Our client focuses on designing new buildings, modifying existing buildings, restoring heritage buildings, and repairing structures.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Complete technical assessments, testing and evaluations related to building exterior walls/windows/roofs and parking structures
• Conduct field reviews and preparing reports throughout construction. This will include monitoring progress according to specifications, conformity to building codes and standards, and preparations of site review reports
• Develop specifications and details related to restoration and new design projects
• Prepare fee proposals and manage clients
• Accept responsibility for consistency, accuracy and quality before presenting to the project team (internal and external)
• Accept responsibility for delivering work within assigned project deadlines and assigned budgets

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering or Construction related fields from an accredited institution
• 4-8+ years of experience focused on Restoration or Building Envelope Design/Repair within an Engineering Firm
• Good academic understanding of concrete design and concrete behaviours
• Familiar with building codes and standards
• Experience with concrete repair, waterproofing design, windows/exterior walls and roofing
• Experience with building condition investigations, bid document preparation and contract administration
• A motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of building science with at least one university credit is an asset
• Working knowledge of construction materials and practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; including technical writing
• Experience in productivity software (i.e. Microsoft Work, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Experience in modelling software is an asset (i.e. THERM, Window, WUFI, etc.)
• Experience in AutoCAD is an asset
• Must be willing to work at heights
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
