Our client in Woodstock, Ontario is looking for a Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Technician to join their team!

This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficiency of production to meet quality, output, and safety targets through managing equipment, plant layout and process. The Industrial Engineering Technician will have to study, analyze, recommend, initiate, and complete tasks aimed at performance excellence, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Monitor and/or measure manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce losses, decrease time requirements, or improve quality
• Perform ongoing evaluation of production methods including use of labour, material, product flow (estimate time requirements for development or production projects)
• Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost and efficiency
• Analyze and provide data with recommendation for improvement in processes including waste reduction, standard work procedures, employee training
• Recommend corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability
• Make follow-ups of the corrective/preventive actions related to continuous improvement
• Participate in the elaboration and the implementation of projects, like reduce production costs analysis by using methods such as Kaizen, 5S, etc.
• Responsible for the development, the maintenance and the progress of the ERP system
• Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring on the effective use of the ERP system
• Develop reports using data coming out of the ERP system for the Managers team.
• Perform bench test during fabrication
• Prepare productivity reports
• Participate in meetings regarding continuous improvement projects
• Ensure adherence to safety rules and practices

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• College Diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited institution
• 2-5+ years of experience
• Manufacturing Engineering experience is considered an asset
• Experience with ERP systems an asset
• Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs
• Experience with MS Office required
• Superior analytical skills and technical aptitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
