We are seeking a Sector Lead of Infrastructure for our client. This individual will act as a Senior Project Manager/Project Principal and be groomed as a future Account Leader.

This individual will lead a team of at least 5-10 multi-disciplinary professional on large projects of significant value (greater than $5million), or multiple projects of smaller value, while maintaining a visible leadership role in the Transit Business within the Toronto region. Other key aspects of this individual’s duties will include client facing and account management. Our client is looking to expand their transit group significantly over the next 2-3 years. Ultimately this individual will play a key role in helping the firm secure and deliver a diverse work portfolio upon their duties as a future Account Leader for the Transit group.

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Lead Sector development to establish company as the trusted partner of choice for clients
• Build senior level networks with sector clients, partners and competitors
• Establish and facilities the use of the Sector Strategy to drive regional and unit business plans
• Prioritise investment within the Sector, including acquisitions, staff bulk hires, market entries and exits etc. at the strategic level
• Support operational business in enabling the best of the company’s expertise to be delivered in bidding and delivering work, making trade –offs, particularly in pursuit of Globally significant opportunities
• Identify at the strategic level when different operating models are needed for specialty and scale projects, and driving use of the GDC
• Drive improvement in project performance across the Sector at strategic level
• Recruit strategic hires and facilitate their positioning within the business, and to ensure succession plans are in place across the Sector
• Drive knowledge sharing, standard solutions and innovation through empowering others
• Champion the practices operating within the Sector
• Act as a ambassador for the company, articulating and representing the vision and value proposition internally and externally, leading the strategic positioning of the company in its chosen markets
• Lead the development and execution of the client development strategy to drive organic growth through the identification of new clients, products, services and proposition opportunities
• Lead and support key strategic pursuits bids by contributing insights and leading the engagement of the most senior client and business leaders.
• Drive improvement of profitability and reduction of working capital by sharing best practices between regions, and by owning major projects which draw resources from more than one region.
• Nurture and grow a sustainable network of board level client and partner relationships globally, leveraging these for maximum impact for the company
• Promote a vibrant health and safety culture and practice
• Lead the Sector Board, and enable its effective operation and credibility

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Civil Engineering degree from an accredited academic institution
• 15+ years of experience
• P.Eng designation or the ability to register with the PEO
• Strong experience in the design and management of Rail, Transit, LRT, and GoTransit projects
• General knowledge of all disciplines in the transportation sector and ability to lead a multi-disciplinary project team
• Experience with P3 projects
• Ability to drive relationship building and client management
• Experience in Business Development including multi-million dollar proposal submissions
• Ability to inspire by engaging others and holding them accountable
• Have an eye for what needs to be done to get maximum out of their team and at the same time keep them fully engaged
• Connections to contractors and Metrolinx/Infrastructure Ontario will be considered an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
