Our client is looking for a Construction Inspector to join their team in either their Collingwood or Innisfil, Ontario location!

This position would begin on a full-time contract, with the potential to become permanent based on the individual's performance and skillset.

PLEASE NOTE: This is for a MUNICIPAL INFRASTRUCTURE Construction Inspector

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Inspect and oversee the construction of roads, water and wastewater servicing, storm water management and grading/drainage works to ensure compliance with design and specifications
• Complete construction reports summarizing work completed and maintain daily log
• Measure and record as-constructed information
• Attend site meetings and record minutes of meetings as required
• Liaise and coordinate with contractors, consultants, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications will include:
• Degree or Diploma in a related field (e.g., construction management, civil engineering) from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of experience in civil construction or engineering
• Experience with municipal engineering or land development related experience
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Well versed in engineering and construction principles, and familiar with municipal design specifications and standard form contracts (e.g., CCDC)
• Demonstrated familiarity and compliance with Health Safety standards on construction sites
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
