Our client in Edmonton is looking for Team Leader in Transportation for their Edmonton office!

This individual will leader in the development of new opportunities, managing projects and monitoring the quality of design and technical services delivered by the Transportation Team. This individual will be responsible for above-the-line practice issues, and will support Corporate Business Initiatives.

If you are a strong leader with strong transportation design skill (particularly with urban roads), this just might be the position for you!

Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Overall fiscal and operational responsibility/performance for the Group
• Project Management/Allocation of resources for projects
• Recruiting and staff training
• Coach, mentor, and develop future leaders
• Business development and enhancement
• Proposal preparation/consultation
• Development of annual operating budgets
• Continuous improvement of systems and technology
• Marketing support to brand company in the Transportation sector
• Lead by example, encourage innovation, provide opportunity and have fun
• Build a strong culture of quality design and teamwork

Qualifications and Skills will include:
• Degree in Civil/Transportation Engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience and a thorough understanding of the Transportation Industry.
• P.Eng. or eligible to be registered with APEGGA preferred.
• Knowledge in the project management, planning, design and contract administration of successful projects.
• Strong quality assurance and quality control.
• Experience with building strong client relationships based on professional services in project management and delivery.
• Results-orientated individual who excels in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Strong leadership, financial management, business development, communication and team building skills are essential.
• Prior consulting experience, within the Transportation sector and established client and agency contacts are desirable.
• Software experience - AutoCad, MicroStation, Civil 3D, In Roads, Rail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
