Our client is seeking a talented Municipal Designer or Engineer to join their rapidly expanding group in the GTA. Specifically, they are looking to hire due to growth; in the past 5 years alone their GTA Infrastructure group has grown by 300%, and so they would like to bring in someone who can initially act as a senior technical resource in the group, but who can later be groomed to take on additional responsibility in the areas of technical leadership *or* Project Management.

This individual MUST HAVE experience designing with Autocad and Microstation. Duties and Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: • Complete conceptual and detailed design of municipal civil projects related to water supply, storage and distribution, wastewater collection and pumping, storm drainage systems, and local and Regional roadway reconstruction and streetscaping. • Prepare environmental assessments/master plans, design briefs, reports, technical specifications and approvals for municipal infrastructure projects • Undertake and/or coordinate design team activities, contract document preparation, tendering, and inspections • Maintain project planning documentation including schedules, budgets, cost control processes and work procedures • Liaise with clients, government, regulatory authorities, and utilities to address their needs/comments, and guide a project through approvals processes • Contribute to project proposals and presentations • Develop and enhance client relationships and business growth. Required Qualifications and Skills for this position are: • A university degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering • Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng., or EIT) and member of Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), or experienced technologist (C.E.T.) • At least 10 years relevant experience. • Demonstrated success and expertise in project planning, municipal infrastructure design • Experience in hydraulic analysis for large distribution and/or collection systems is desirable • Proficient in the preparation of conceptual and detailed design drawings and reports, contract document preparation and tendering • Contract administration and inspection experience is considered an additional asset for this position • Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary project team environment • Solid technical writing skills demonstrated through experience in writing reports and proposals • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
